Symptom and description
It may happen that in certain situations, that you lose control on one Remote, and one of the deck is spinning really fast while you're playing with Serato DJ Pro.
Issue resolution
This behavior could be due to a short loss of USB communication between Phase and your DVS software.
If you have experienced any similar kind of issue, we invite you to try the following troubleshoots, in this order:
- First, try to put the Remotes back into your Receiver and Pair them as shown below.
Then put the Remotes back on the Turntables and wait for the internal calibration to be complete (until the LEDs are still) before spinning the turntables. Finally, switch back to WIR mode.
- Make sure that when taking the Remotes out of the Receiver, you allow their sensors to calibrate on a flat and still surface. The Remote should remain absolutely motionless as long as the LED goes back and forth. When it turns solid, the Remote can be moved or spinned.
- If you're using a different cable that the one provided by Phase, or a third party unpowered USB hub, we invite you to switch to the original cable and use a powered USB hub to ensure an optimal USB connection.
- You can also reset the Remote in the "Advanced Settings" on Phase Manager then, link it to the Receiver again.
- Finally, if you're experiencing the same issue after checking the previous points, you can review your power settings using the following Serato articles, to make sure this doesn't come from a USB power management issue.
