Battery info and recommandations
General info
The Remotes' batteries are one of Phase's key elements. They allow all the measures and operations that ultimately result in generating the DVS signal, and power the LED strip as well. Here are information about the batteries.
-
Equipped with a Lithium-ion battery.
-
A battery delivers up to ten hours of performance.
-
USB power and charge (laptop, USB hub, brick charger on outlet).
-
Full battery charge in 2 hours.
-
Automated charge: charging stops at full battery; the 100% charged Remote can be left in the dock.
Good to know
-
Avoid discharging the Remotes completely and then storing them or not charging them for a long time.
-
Do not try to replace the battery yourself, contact us instead.
- Do not use a fast charger, this could permanently damage the unit.
-
The batteries should be charged at least every 6 months to keep them healthy. If not used for a long time, they may not charge again.
Battery consumption
The battery consumption of the Remotes is directly related to their radio communication since the more powerful the radio signal needs to be, the more battery power is required.
The environment in which you use Phase is a key factor since “noisy” ones (in terms of radio signals) demand a stronger radio communication to guarantee stability. This means the battery will drain faster.
Last but not least, the Firmware version you have installed is crucial. To maximize your battery life, make sure you have updated your Phase to the latest Firmware version.
