Quick checkup: make sure your Phase is properly working
This page will help you determine in a quick way if there’s an issue with your Phase.
It shows and describes the correct behavior of the unit and offers solutions if you cannot replicate this behavior.

Before starting: is your Phase firmware up to date?
✔︎ There is no red button on the homepage; the Update Center states the unit is up to date.
✖︎ Double check you have the latest version of Phase Manager installed. Install it if that’s not the case.
✖︎ Plug your Phase to your laptop and start Phase Manager. Update the Receiver and the Remotes if you see the red button prompt.

Does the Phase turn on when plugged to a power source?
✔︎ The LEDs light up.
✖︎ Use a different USB cable.
✖︎ Try plugging the unit to a different power source.
▶︎ If your Receiver doesn't turn on at all, despite using a different USB cable and power source, please refer to this article.
Do the Remotes light up and charge when placed into the powered Receiver?
✔︎ The Remotes light up and the LEDs move upwards.
✖︎ Take the Remotes out of the Receiver, then place them back in.
✖︎ Look closely at the pins and connectors on the Receiver’s docks and at the back of the Remote. Make sure they’re not crooked, blocked or damaged.
▶︎ Please refer to the following articles if your Remote doesn't turn on at all, or if it red blinks when placed into the Receiver and turns off when you take it out.
Can you link the Remotes to the Receiver?
✔︎ Long-press (3 sec) the setup buttons: the Remotes briefly blink.
✖︎ Take the Remotes out of the Receiver, then place them back in.
✖︎ If you see a red blink when pressing the button, check for firmware updates with Phase Manager.

Do the internal sensors of the Remotes calibrate?
✔︎ After linking the Remotes, take them out and place them on a flat and still surface. The LED strips of the Remotes turn solid after a few seconds.
✖︎ If they don't stop moving, place them back into the Receiver, and take them out again. Wait until the LEDs turn solid.

Is your Phase correctly connected to your mixer and laptop?
✔︎ If you’re using the Serato USB integration (HID or Wireless mode), the Receiver is connected to one of your laptop’s USB ports.
✔︎ If you're using the regular DVS mode, the RCA cables are connected to the Receiver and to the CD/LINE Inputs of your mixer or DVS interface.
✖︎ Depending on your mixer model, make sure the PH/CD Switch is set on CD. Double check the Utility settings of your mixer too: the inputs should be set on Line.

Is your DJ software correctly configured?
✔︎ Your DVS mixer or DVS interface is selected as the main audio interface (audio settings).
✔︎ When applicable, the mixer inputs are set on CD/Line.
✔︎ Your virtual decks are set on Relative mode (or Wireless mode if you're using the Serato USB integration)
✔︎ In Phase Manager, your DVS signal is set accordingly with your DJ software.
