Powering the Receiver

The Phase is turned on and off by plugging and unplugging the cable. When plugging the Phase, several LEDs indicate that your unit is properly powered.  

There are two small LEDs at the back of the Phase Receiver (above the USB port) that are important to determine proper functioning. First, there is the lightning icon, which indicates that the Receiver is correctly powered. Second, the connect icon, indicating the Phase Receiver is connected and communicating with a laptop. If you power the Receiver using a wall outlet, you will only see the lightning icon light up. 

You can use the power source of your choice for your Phase: either a free USB port on your computer, a powered USB hub, or a wall outlet with a brick charger delivering at least 5V. Your Phase will function in both cases. Unless you want to use the Serato USB integration, it is not mandatory to plug the unit to your computer to use it, it just has to be powered.
